How it works

From your first enquiry to the last message of the night.

  1. 1Step one

    Book your date

Send an enquiry. We confirm your date is free and your venue is suitable, then share pricing.

  2. 2Step two

    Make it yours

Send us your names, a photo of each of you and a short audio greeting that guests will hear when they pick up the Receiver on the day.

  3. 3Step three

    The box is delivered

We drop off and set up the phone box, ready for when your first guests arrive, and stay with it throughout the night so everything runs smoothly.

  4. 4Step four

    Your guests call

Every guest is given a coin to use in the phone box. They lift the Receiver, drop the coin in the slot, hear your greeting and leave a message after the tone.

  5. 5Step five

    Smile for a photo

The phone's camera takes a photo of each guest as they call, so you can see every face alongside their message.

  6. 6Step six

    Listen back

After the wedding you get every message and photo, ready to enjoy again whenever you like.

The box

A full-size Irish phone box, built by hand in Galway.

Telefón boxes once stood in villages and towns all over Ireland, and many a love story began at one, with a late-night call or a promise to meet there. Ours is a full-size tribute, handmade in Galway, bringing a little of that romance back for a new generation of love stories.

Inspired by the traditional payphone.

It looks and feels like the payphones of old, but every part, from the electronics to the software that runs it, was designed and built in Galway by Éirlúm.

The small print

Hire, delivery & collection policy.

The terms that apply to every DIAL-I-DO booking. Prices, delivery arrangements and payment dates are always confirmed in writing before you book.

1. Hire Period

DIAL-I-DO is hired for the wedding day, allowing guests to leave audio messages throughout the agreed event period.

The standard hire includes delivery and setup before the event, followed by collection the following morning. Exact delivery and collection times will be agreed with the customer in advance and are subject to venue access.

Day-before delivery or extended hire periods may be available by prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.

2. Delivery & Collection Charges

Delivery and collection charges are calculated according to the venue's distance from Éirlúm's dispatch location and the logistics required for the booking.

The applicable transport charge will be confirmed in the quotation before the booking is accepted. Unless otherwise stated, this charge covers both delivery and collection.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Venues outside the standard delivery area.
  • Additional journeys or changes to agreed delivery arrangements.
  • Restricted access, extended waiting times or special handling requirements.
  • Additional delivery or collection visits requested by the customer.
3. Long-Distance Bookings & Accommodation

For venues requiring substantial travel, an individual transport quotation will be provided.

Where the distance, delivery schedule or collection time makes an overnight stay reasonably necessary, accommodation and associated travel costs may be included in the quoted logistics fee. Any such charges will be agreed with the customer before the booking is confirmed.

Éirlúm will not commit to additional transport or accommodation expenses without first agreeing the relevant charges with the customer.

4. Booking & Payment

A booking deposit of 10% of the hire price is payable to reserve the requested date, subject to the terms agreed at booking and applicable consumer law.

The remaining hire balance and all agreed delivery, collection and additional charges must be paid no later than 14 days before the event.

DIAL-I-DO will not be dispatched or delivered until all amounts due before the event have been received.

For bookings made within 14 days of the event, full payment is required before delivery.

5. Cancellations & Changes

Customers should notify Éirlúm as soon as possible if their event is cancelled or the booking needs to change.

The booking deposit and any cancellation charges will be handled in accordance with the agreed booking terms and applicable consumer law. Any cancellation charge will take account of the timing of the cancellation, costs already incurred, commitments made and any reasonable losses arising from the cancellation.

Where delivery or accommodation arrangements have already been booked, any applicable cancellation costs will be addressed under the agreed terms.

If Éirlúm is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking, the customer will be entitled to the refund or other remedy required under the applicable terms and law.

6. Venue Access & Collection

The customer is responsible for confirming that the venue permits the agreed delivery, setup and collection arrangements.

DIAL-I-DO must be positioned in an agreed, suitable location with appropriate access for delivery and collection. The customer should notify Éirlúm in advance of any venue restrictions, access limitations or changes to the event schedule.

If access is unavailable at the agreed time, Éirlúm will work with the customer to agree an alternative arrangement. Any additional costs will be communicated and agreed where practicable before they are incurred.

7. Additional Hire & Special Arrangements

Additional hire days, alternative collection times and special delivery arrangements may be available subject to availability and an agreed additional fee.

All prices, delivery arrangements, payment deadlines and any special conditions will be confirmed in writing before the booking is finalised.
